Springbok fullback Willie le Roux and his wife, Holly Clare, have settled into a custom-built mansion on the prestigious Val de Vie estate in Paarl, after nearly two years of construction on the property.

The couple moved into the home in May last year, with Holly announcing the milestone on Instagram and reflecting on the effort required to complete the project.

In her post, Holly described the process of building from the ground up as a significant undertaking, while crediting the right support for making it possible.

"Building a house from scratch is no easy feat, but if you have the right person by your side and an experienced team to put your ideas in place, then you can really create something unique," she wrote.

She added that the final result had exceeded expectations she had held for years. "I've been dreaming up this design in my head for years, and it is truly everything I imagined and more. Feeling very blessed to have this special place to call home," Holly said.

Val de Vie Estate Home

Val de Vie, located in the Paarl-Franschhoek Valley in the Western Cape, is one of South Africa's most sought-after residential estates, known for its security, wine farm surroundings, and polo facilities. The estate has attracted several high-profile residents over the years.

The nearly two-year timeline of the Le Roux build reflects the scale and level of customisation involved in the project, with Holly indicating that the design concept had been in development long before construction began.
