The Springboks will face the Wallabies at the Optus Stadium in Perth on Sunday, 27 September 2026, with South African supporters set for a late-morning start.
The official fixture information lists kick-off at 11:30 am South African time, with the match scheduled for 5:30 pm local time in Perth. Rugby Australia has also confirmed Optus Stadium as the venue for the one-off Test.
The Springboks head into the match after their four-Test series against New Zealand, while Australia enter the encounter after their recent international programme.
Rassie Erasmus warns Springboks against complacency
Springbok head coach Rassie Erasmus has stressed that the Wallabies cannot be treated as an extension of the recent New Zealand series.

Erasmus said:
“They’ll be really fresh and they’ve won four out of five of their recent matches, while we come off a tough series against New Zealand.”
He added:
“But RGR and this match have nothing to do with each other. This is a completely different challenge.”
Captain Siya Kolisi has also emphasised the need for the team to adapt to Australia.
“You always adjust for each team, but our core values are going to remain the same,” Kolisi said.
“Australia is completely different to New Zealand, so we’ll have to readjust certain things. It’s going to be a big challenge.”
Perth Test provides another Springboks challenge
The encounter is also part of the Springboks' preparations for their remaining 2026 Tests, including their November Nations Championship campaign.
Australia have also welcomed back Jordan Petaia to their squad for the Perth Test. Rugby Australia confirmed on 14 September that the former Queensland Reds back had been recalled to the Wallabies squad for the first time since the 2023 Rugby World Cup.
For South African viewers, the key detail is therefore simple: Springboks v Wallabies kicks off at 11:30 am SAST on Sunday, 27 September.
The match will be played at Optus Stadium and will be available live on SuperSport.
