New Zulu King, Misuzulu kaZwelithini was married before his mother Queen Regent Mantfombi Dlamini-Zulu was buried.

Misuzulu married Ntokozo Mayisela, 36, who is the mother of his two children. This would likely put an end to complaints that they could not ascend the throne without being married.

According to IOL, a number of documents leaked from the Department of Home Affairs to independent media revealed that the new Zulu king was married to Mayisela on Thursday in a civil union.

Prince Simakade Zulu, the other son of the late King Goodwill Zwelithini, has refuted claims that he wished to challenge Misuzulu for the throne.

This leaves very little in the way of resistance to Misuzulu being crowned the new Zulu king according to eNCA.

AmaZulu traditional prime minister Mangosuthu Buthelezi has urged people to stop spreading dangerous rumours about the royal family.

Buthelezi said that whether Misuzulu was married or not was irrelevant and that his marital status would not have stopped him from ascending the throne. He confirmed that Misuzulu is already issuing royal decrees3

Earlier, Briefly News that the newly-elected monarch of the AmaZulu tribe, King Misuzulu kaZwelithini, has been labelled as a unifier of the embattled nation. According to Prince Zeblon Zulu, the new king had teachers complaining of him in Swaziland that he had been reluctant to learn isiSwati.

SABC reports that King Misuzulu was sent to neighbouring Swaziland to study at the Assembly of God Primary School and later at St Michael School.

Zulu, who is a historian and uncle to the new king, says Misuzulu had a normal upbringing as a child with little or no privileges at all.

In other news, Lasizwe has been dragged by Mzansi social media users after he expressed his thirst for the new Zulu King. The media personality made it clear that he is extremely attracted to King Misuzulu and would not mind getting intimate with him.

Many on social media were offended and felt that his comments were disrespectful.

Taking to social media, Lasizwe tweeted:

"The new Zulu King can definitely take my virginity... literally I would make a plan on how I would carry his babies! No ways!!! I have the biggest crush on him! He’s such a handsome man with PRESENCE AF! Bayede wena weNdlovu!"
