New Zulu King, Misuzulu kaZwelithini was married before his mother Queen Regent Mantfombi Dlamini-Zulu was buried.
Misuzulu married Ntokozo Mayisela, 36, who is the mother of his two children. This would likely put an end to complaints that they could not ascend the throne without being married.
According to IOL, a number of documents leaked from the Department of Home Affairs to independent media revealed that the new Zulu king was married to Mayisela on Thursday in a civil union.
Prince Simakade Zulu, the other son of the late King Goodwill Zwelithini, has refuted claims that he wished to challenge Misuzulu for the throne.
This leaves very little in the way of resistance to Misuzulu being crowned the new Zulu king according to eNCA.
AmaZulu traditional prime minister Mangosuthu Buthelezi has urged people to stop spreading dangerous rumours about the royal family.
