Tears of joy: These people finally get to know what it feels like to have their own land

The Democratic Alliance were in Finetown recently where they handed over title deeds to residents. All in all Herman Mashaba handed over 94 title deeds to the grateful people of Finetown in Ennerdale.

This forms part of the 795 title deeds which will be handed out over the course of April 2018.

The city of Johannesburg has identified that 30 000 accomodation units are required in the short term to address the pressing needs of the most vulnerable in the city.

It was an emotional event which resulted in tears of joy being shed by residents as they finally realised their dream of owning their own home.
