South African music legend Yvonne Chaka Chaka started the new year with the spirit of Ubuntu very much alive in her heart.
She visited the home of late music icon Brenda Fassie on the 1st of January. When she arrived, she was happy to find Brenda's siblings there.
Brenda's family were touched by Yvonne's visit and they cried and sang quite emotionally. According to a report by The Daily Sun, Yvonne was in the Mother City and figured she should see how Brenda's family is doing.

Yvonne shared the moment on social media with a happy caption:
1st Jan 2019. I decided to visit Brenda Fassie s home found her two sisters it was a great reunion . I am glad I went on this day. Lindi Fassie cried so much . She started singing Brenda’s song for me. . Life oh Life.
Briefly.co.za gathered that Yvonne said the visit was her way of showing Ubuntu because a small gesture can make people smile.
It was lovely seeing everyone, I actually didn’t put the whole video, but it was a beautiful feeling I am happy. And to also bring something small just to share with them as a family I can’t explain the feeling. This is really a good start because it is a reminder that we need to be kind.
