The beloved fitness blogger had a near-fatal road accident in the early hours of August 9, 2018. Sbahle's BMW 4 series crashed into the sidewalk, causing her to hit her head and fall unconscious. Her leg jammed the accelerator and hit a robot before making a final impact with a tree.

In April 2022 IOL posted that Sbahle set the record straight regarding how the accident occurred and whether or not substances were involved. She expressed:

'There was alcohol involved, but I don’t drink to get drunk. It’s just that there was a whole situation that no one knows about that got me into the car accident. Only I know what happened.'
