Bahumi Madisakwane is tired of being known as Somizi Mhlongo’s daughter. The stunning and ambitious young actress is ready for the world to know her name.
Somizi had Bahumi with his ex, Palesa Madisakwane- the two are still very good friends.
Briefly.co.za knows that Bahumi and Somizi have a slightly complicated relationship. Somizi wasn’t exactly father of the year when Bahumi was growing up.
Growing up in Somizi’s shadow has not been easy but Bahumi is determined to gain her own spotlight.
Speaking to Drum magazine, Bahumi revealed that even though Somizi has always given her his full support, the shade she’s received from the public because of him has affected her.
From Somizi’s sexual orientation to his recent wedding; it’s all had a negative effect on Bahumi.

Bahumi had to develop thick skin and grow up a lot faster than most. Growing up with two famous parents who are constantly making headlines for outrageous things has not been easy.
Even though Bahumi is insanely talented and worked extremely hard to get the slight recognition that she has, every accomplishment and achievement has been given to the fact that she’s Somizi’s child.
Taking to social media, Bahumi explained how bagging the role of the young version of Lebo Mathosa in the upcoming BET Africa series, Dream: The Lebo Mathosa Story, is something she is extremely proud of. Nothing anyone says or does is going to stop Bahumi from basking in this glory.
It is her time to shine and shine is exactly what Bahumi’s going to do!
