However, the one person who is hardest hit by V-Mash's passing is her 15-year-old son.

Drum reported that Vinolia's father, Collins Mashego, said her son was there when her lifeless body was discovered in her Mamelodi, Tshwane home.

Paramedics believed Vinolia, who died suddenly in her sleep, had already been dead for approximately three days when her body was found.

Collins said that seeing V-Mash's body has devastated her son, Oratile.

He said, “(Oratile) has not taken the news well, since seeing her body. He’s been sleeping and crying."

Oratile revealed that, growing up, he had a tough time dealing with his mother's fame.

“I’m really affected by the negative stories, especially when there were reports my mom was homeless and stealing from people. I feel like people aren’t giving her the recognition she deserves. She contributed a lot to this country,” he said.

Vinolia was making a comeback into the industry at the time of her passing.

Moja Love, where the recently presented two shows, has donated R200 000 to her family.
