The media personality was born on July 12, 1994. Interestingly, she has 12 siblings. She was raised in the sunny South Coast Port Shepstone in the heart of KwaZulu-Natal. She attended Marburg Secondary School and completed her studies in 2012. She then enrolled at Rosebank College in 2014 and completed in 2016. The beauty has also studied public relations.

Career

Having established herself in public relations, she has worked with some respected PR gurus such as Sphe Mjadu. The beauty started as a radio personality on Ugu Youth Radio, before moving to Gagasi Youth Station. She made her debut in 2016 after she beat more than 5,000 contestants to scope the much-coveted role as Nomalanga in Rhythm City. Nomalanga Shozi Rhythm City role depicts one of a mining magnate and struggle veteran daughter who is engaged to Zolani.

She was also featured as a guest on the SABC3 late-night talk show Larger Than Life with Jason Goliath. Nomalanga Shozi Gagasi FM career started in 2015 when she co-hosted the Hip Hop Gagasi Music Sessions that took part on Thursdays from 20h00 and 22h00.

In October 2016, she landed her first job as a presenter at the Mzansi Magic entertainment magazine programme All Access Mzansi. Nomalanga Shozi BET career kick-started in 2018 when she became the new face for the channel. She started being featured both locally and internationally.

She earlier traveled to Las Vegas, USA, where she attended the BET Soul Train Awards. During her trip, she captured content from the red carpet and behind the scenes, which was aired on the channel. During an interview with the DRUM, she said:

I am excited to broaden my horizons, to stretch my talent, and to see how I can take an international property like BET Breaks and to localize it to the African audience. I want to show people my different side, South Africa only knows me as an actress, and I want them to see my crazy funny side, people only know my serious side. To be a part of that narrative as I represent the values and the qualities that the brand stands for it’s an honour to be part of such a global brand.
