Wendy Williams: Talk show host drops trailer for movie about her life

Wendy Williams has announced the release of her biopic, titled Wendy Williams: The Movie, and dropped the trailer for the film.

The trailer showed how the movie will tell the story of the controversial talk show host's life, including her beginnings in the entertainment industry and personal drama that happened off-screen.

Williams shared the trailer with her show's in-person audience, who gave the sneak peek a standing ovation, and also posted it to her social media accounts.

Wendy captioned her post of the trailer by announcing the release date for the film to be at the end of January 2021. She also announced that it would be premiering on LifetimeTV and that she had served as an executive producer on the project.

The role of Wendy herself is played by actress Ciera Payton. Payton rose to fame on the television show The Walking Dead and the star has already received compliments from fans about how she managed to capture Williams' essence - just from the movie's trailer.

In previous celebrity-related news, Briefly.co.za reported on when Cardi B recently wore an outfit designed by local fashion guru and designer Gert-Johan Coetzee to celebrate her hubby Offset's birthday. The South African designer posted the news to his Instagram and added photos of the world-famous rapper wearing his designs.

The beaded outfit consisted of a long skirt and corset in shades of brown that Cardi paired with brown heels and hair past her waist. Cardi B looked like she was partying up a storm and was photographed in the design as she was enjoying the celebrations.

The local designer also tagged the celebrity stylist in his caption and the photographer who captured the major moments.

Offset recently turned 29 and his wife Cardi B made sure to make the celebration a memorable one for him as she gifted him a Lamborghini Aventador SVJ 63 Roadster.

In the video on Offset's page, the WAP singer blindfolded her husband as she walked him to his huge birthday gift. Surrounded by friends and family, the singer took his wife's lead and as soon as they got to the car, Cardi B uncovered his face.

The moment Offset spotted the bronze-coloured car, he was dumbfounded for a little while, and then suddenly let out a scream in excitement for his birthday gift. According to online reports, a Lambo Aventador SVJ 63 Roadster costs a whopping sum of $600k (R8 million).
