Dee Koala has scored a major collab with Tommy Hilfiger. The rapper, who is known for her unique style and swagger, took to social media recently to share that she has been chosen as one of two artists from Africa to model the US clothing brand's 2021 Spring Collection.

The award-winning rapper from Khayelitsha in Cape Town, has in the past collaborated with Adidas South Africa and Redbat. The stunner took to Twitter and Instagram and shared a few snaps of herself rocking Tommy Hilfiger. She captioned her post:

"From Khayelitsha to the world, I present to you the 2021 @tommyjeans Spring Collection which just launched globally featuring me as one of the only two chosen artists from Africa."

Dee Koala dropped her debut album 4 The Khaltsha in 2019. She features Moonchild Sanelly, Lookatups and SimulationRxps. She bagged the Best Female award at the SA Hip-Hop Awards in 2020.

In other entertainment news, Briefly.co.za reported that world-renowned record label Columbia records is celebrating their black artists this February. The stable took to social media on Tuesday, 2 February to celebrate their "legendary roaster" of black artists.

The company has even commissioned black creatives to create portraits of the musicians signed to them. One of the names that stood out for many tweeps from South Africa is that of Elaine. The songstress signed to the label in August 2020. The star took the world by storm when she independently dropped her EP titled Elements featuring her smash hit titled You're The One in September 2019.

The song was on high rotation on national radio stations and TV stations. It was also one of the most-streamed R&B songs in 2020. Towards the end of last year, Elaine shared a few snaps on Instagram while living it up in the US and also recording new music a few weeks after signing to the US label.
