Barcelona’s Francisco Trincao has treated himself to an exotic £240,000 (R4.9 million) Lamborghini Huracan after scoring winner vs Real Betis.

The former Braga player shared a picture of the posh ride on his Instagram handle as he becomes a proud owner of a Lamborghini Huracan.

Since joining Barcelona for £28 million (R571 million) last year, Trincao has continued to struggle at the club managing just a goal in 17 appearances off the bench.

It was a special strike helping Ronald Koeman’s side defeat Real Betis when he scored in the 87th minute of the La Liga encounter.

The garage posted the handover on their Instagram account, writing: "Very special delivery of the spectacular Lamborghini Huracan EVO to the FCB player @trincao.

"Enjoy it and thank you very much for your trust!"

Trincao actually agreed his move to Barca in January last year, but the Spanish giants allowed him to stay at Braga until the end of the season.

Barcelona stretched their winning streak to six games in all competitions after coming from a goal down to beat Real Betis 3-2 at Estadio Benito Villamarin on Sunday, February 7.

The Catalans have once again returned to the second position on the La Liga table with 43 points - the same as their bitter rivals Real Madrid after 21 rounds of games.

The Argentine’s contract will lapse in June and he has been free to negotiate with clubs since January 1 as his future remains unclear.

Manchester City led the move for the six-time Ballon d’Or in August 2020 after he handed the Catalan club his transfer request, but was forced to reverse his decision after the club cited a clause in his contract.

Briefly.co.za earlier reported that Barcelona legend Lionel Messi has been crowned the world's best player of the decade between 2011 and 2020 by the International Federation of Football History & Statistics (IFFHS).

The 33-year-old beat his arch-rival Cristiano Ronaldo who came second on the list and eight other superstars to win the prestigious award.

Other big names on the 10 man shortlist are Andres Iniesta, Neymar, and Sergio Ramos but they didn't do well enough to earn the gong.

The international organisation tasked its members across 150 countries to vote for the player deserving of the status, and it was the Argentine who fit the bill after the polls.
