Meanwhile Briefly.co.za previously reported American superstar, Britney Spears, is currently in the middle of an ongoing battle of conservatorship with her father, and the motion to remove her father as a guardian over her estate has tilted in her favour.

As reported by NBC News, the singer who was widely celebrated when she turned 39 in December 2020, filed a petition sometime last year to have a financial institution take over as the sole conservator of her estate.

On Thursday, February 11, a judge denied the singer's father, James Spears, the power to retain control over her asset.

Los Angeles Superior Court, Judge Brenda Penny, denied the singer’s petition last year but appointed Bessemer Trust as a co-conservator along with her father, which has been working fine.

James' attorney, Thoreen, however, raised an objection and argued that the court orders should be consistent with the 2019 order that gave him sole guardianship, but the objection was denied by the judge.

Following Thursday's hearing, both James Spears and Bessemer Trust are expected to continue to work together on a budget and asset proposal for the pop star's estate.
