Mzansi soapie Rhythm City has come to an end and the actors of the show are have received a great reward for their work. Even though the soapie is amongst the top 10 of the most-watched in South Africa, it got cancelled.
eTV decided to show appreciation to the cast of the show and has paid them a generous amount of money for their services and as a farewell gift.
Entertainment blogger Phil Mphela took to social media to share the news through a video.
"eTV confirmed that there will be money given as a farewell gift to the people working on the show. The cash is not specifically a severance package but it has been worked out within the ambit of labour law," said Sine the Voice Artist.
2. Manaka Ranaka Reacts to William Last's Emotional 'How It Feels' Video
Manaka Ranaka has taken to social media to react to comedian William Last KRM's emotional music video.
The Generations: The Legacy actress took to Instagram recently and shared a clip of William and his music director, Director Mo. The pair were watching William's latest music video for his track titled How It Feels. In the clip, William could not hold his tears back and ends up leaving the room to get some fresh air.
Manaka shared that William made her cry so early on Monday morning, 29 March. The music video's storyline is relatable and intriguing. Manaka captioned her post:
"Wow, @williamlast_krm how dare you to make me cry so early in the morning. Ke ya go VUMA dawg. Many will relate to #HowItFeels most of us know what its like. 3. Somizi Mhlongo Surprises Noxolo Grootboom in an Emotional Moment
Veteran newsreader Noxolo Grootman said goodbye to news broadcasting yesterday and the nation was very emotional. Mam'Noxolo is loved by many in Mzansi for keeping the country informed on current affairs.
Somizi Mhlongo is one of those who showed appreciation to Noxolo and surprised her with a lovely pot-plant. Noxolo was at the 947 studios, doing an interview with media personality Anele Mdoda.
Taking to social media, 947 posted a video of Somizi gifting Noxolo the plant and it was indeed very heartwarming. Noxolo started crying when she saw Somizi. They captioned the post:
"Just when we thought the surprises were done, Somizi left his warm luxurious bed to grace #AneleAndTheClub as we celebrate umam #NoxoloGrootboom and her reaction says it."
4. Big Zulu Comments on Nasty C's 'Zulu Man With Some Power' Title
Big Zulu has shared his thoughts on Nasty C's album name, Zulu Man With Some Power. The Imali Eningi hitmaker made the comments during a recent interview on MacG's Podcast and Chill.
MacG asked Big Zulu whether the There They Go hitmaker was misappropriating the Zulu culture by calling himself "Zulu Man With Some Power".
"He is our child who is overseas doing what he has to do. He has his own way of doing things, I don’t think we should have a problem."
The rapper said he respects Nasty C because he is representing the country overseas, especially in the US.
"I respect the boy and I don’t think it is only for Zulus. You see all of that, he is where he is, he is representing the country overseas, he is doing what he is supposed to do."
5. Amazulu's Siphiwe Tshabalala Shows Off Impressive Designer Shoe Collection
AmaZulu midfielder Siphiwe Tshabalala does not only have dazzling skills and an eye for a good pass on the field of play but also has an impressive shoe collection.
The former Kaizer Chiefs skipper went to post on his Instagram page to show off floor-to-ceiling racks of shoes in every shape and colour, mostly sneakers.
In his latest post captioned, "@airmaxalways day?", 'Shabba' has left his followers stunned with many appreciating the collection.
While some expressed their affection for the 2010 FIFA World Cup star, some suggested they were coming only for a pair of shoes.
