Mzansi comedian Loyiso Gola has reacted to the claims that he stole a joke from popular TV show, The Boondocks.
The allegations surfaced after the funny man released his latest comedy show Unlearning on Netflix. A few people who have streamed Loyiso's special claimed he recycled one of his jokes from The Boondocks.
Loyiso recently held a Q&A session on Instagram stories and the accusations popped up once again. The comic responded to his critics with another joke. According to TshisaLIVE, the star hilariously said:
"I was only trying to save the environment."
Many comedians from across the globe have been accused of stealing a joke or two from other comedians and TV shows in the past. Loyiso is not the first stand-up comedian to face the same accusations.
In related news, Briefly News reported that Loyiso Gola's one-man show Unlearning debuted on Netflix on Tuesday, 23 March. The stand-up comedian took to Twitter on the day to remind his fans to stream the show.
Many tweeps who replied to his post shared that they've streamed it and loved every minute of the comedy show. The star's fans said they'll watch it again because it was funny but informative at the same time. Loyiso wrote on Twitter:
"Unlearning streaming now on Netflix."
