American rapper Kanye West has hit back at his billionaire friend Elon Musk and questioned their friendship.

According to Page Six, Kanye sent a text to X owner Elon Musk and asked him why he was keeping quiet while Kanye is suffering injustices.

A screenshot of the message sent to Musk by the rapper indicated that Kanye wanted him to speak up and defend him rather than be a 'fake friend'.

He also clarified to Musk that he is not bipolar, contrary to what has been said about him on social media. The Flashing Lights hitmaker claims he became autistic after a car accident that happened in 2012.

The message read:

"When are we going to speak... you owe me nothing. You never have to speak to me again. But if we do speak, the nature of the relationship has to change, I’m not bipolar, I have signs of autism from my [2002] car accident.
"You cannot watch Kim keep my kids away from me and not say anything publicly and then call yourself my friend so I can bring my audience to your struggling platform."

Why Kanye hates being called crazy

In 2022, Kanya gave an interview in which he opened up about the sharp criticism he was facing from people. He confessed that he gets offended when people ask if he's okay, adding that he gets angry when people call him crazy.

"It hurts my feelings that people can ask, 'Hey, are you okay?' They keep on using the 'Oh he's crazy, he's crazy' thing. And it hurts my feelings when people say that," he said.

Kim and Kanye divorce finalised

In another story reported by Briefly News, Kanye West and Kim Kardashian are hogging world headlines after finally settling their divorce. According to reports, the US rapper will pay the reality TV star a whopping $200K (R3.4 million) a month in child support.

CNN reports that the superstar and his wealthy ex-wife will share joint custody of their four kids. Rolling Stone reports that Kanye West and Kim Kardashian have "equal access" to their bundles of joy.
