Popular radio presenters Sizwe Dhlomo and Sol Phenduka have reacted to news that Patriotic Alliance deputy president Kenny Kunene was found in the house of one of the suspects arrested for the murder of DJ Sumbody. Gauteng businessman Katiso “Kat” Molefe was arrested on Monday, 21 July 2025, in connection with the murder of DJ Sumbody.

News24 reported that Kunene, who also serves as the Johannesburg MMC for Transport, was outside of Molefe’s house and waiting for a meeting when members of the South African Police Service (SAPS) raided the businessman’s home in Sandton, Johannesburg. South Africans reacted to the news with mixed opinions on Kunene's explanation why he was outside the murder suspect's home, and Sizwe Dhlomo and Sol Phenduka joined the chat.

New development in the DJ Sumbody murder case

Meanwhile, police have shared new details in the DJ Sumbody murder case.

Briefly News reported that the weapons which were used to kill DJ Sumbody and his bodyguards are linked to ten high-profile cases.

Addressing journalists on Tuesday, 22 July 2025, national police spokesperson, Brigadier Athlenda Mathe, shared that ballistic examinations linked the firearms used in the murder of DJ Sumbody to ten other cases.
