As the country hailed the South African Police Services (SAPS) and the Gauteng organised crime unit for arresting four suspects in the DJ Sumbody murder case, the silence among the amapiano musos' circle seems to echo louder.

Controversial media personality Nota Baloyi questioned why Oupa Sefako's friends are not vocal about this major breakthrough. One of the Monate Mpolaye's hitmakers' friends includes rapper Cassper Nyovest, who was featured on the hit song.

DJ Sumbody was gunned down in Woodmead, Johannesburg, on 20 November 2022, in what seemed to be a hit. His bodyguard also died in the process.
