The state has officially concluded its case in the Senzo Meyiwa murder trial after three years. The murder accused Muzikawukhulelwa Sibiya, Bongani Sandiso Ntanzi, Mthobisi Prince Mncube, Mthokoziseni Maphisa, and Fisokuhle Ntuli maintained their innocence throughout the trial.

Journalist Criselda Lewis reported that State Prosecutor Advocate George Baloyi has officially closed the case.

"On that point, my Lord that concludes the leading of the evidence for state case. It is precisely THREE years since the state started leading evidence, we formally close the case."

Kelly Khumalo trends after update on Senzo Meyiwa

Briefly News previously reported that disbarred Advocate Malesela Teffo made a video, calling for people not to vilify Kelly Khumalo. However, he still maintains that Kelly Khumalo is the key to solving the murder case.

In his interview with Podcast and Chill with MacG, Teffo alleged that Kelly Khumalo accidentally shot Meyiwa, rubbishing their claim of home invaders. He further alleged that he was in possession of a signed affidavit from Longwe Twala. He added that Kelly should testify and give the nation peace.

Social media users were very disappointed that Kelly Khumalo did not go to court to give her version of events. Others remain hopeful that one day, she might.
