Former Isibaya actor Samson Khumalo, who plays the role of Bra Boikie in Skeem Saam, recently paid tribute to his late wife Meme Ditshego, who passed away in June.

The family of the Ga Re Dumele star Meme Ditshego confirmed that she complained of chest pains before she died at a local hospital.

Ditshego, who starred opposite her real-life husband, Samsom Khumalo, in The Coconuts, celebrated the Skeem Saam actor on her Instagram account before she died.

The legendary actor took to his Instagram account on Saturday, 26 July, to pay tribute to his late wife, Meme Ditshego.

"On this day a month ago, my beloved wife, my soul mate, left us and joined the celestial legion. Miss Meme, as I'd affectionately call her, was the light of my life, and the world feels colder without her.
"While these early days of grief are bitter and dark, I'd like to express my appreciation to all of you for your prayers, comforting words, and kindness.
"This is a reminder that Miss Meme was truly loved by many. Thank you for sharing in our grief and for your continued support. Be blessed," wrote the actor.

TVSA reports that Khumalo was married to his TV wife, Meme Ditshego, on MNet's comedy show, The Coconuts.

Ditshego portrayed the character of Joyce Mlambo, while Khumalo played the role of Percy Mlambo.

The late actress is famously known for playing the role of Josephine Ratau in the SABC2's sitcom Ga Re Dumele, where she starred from 2010 to 2019.

Meme Ditshego's family reveals her memorial service

Ditshego, who starred in popular TV shows such as Cobrizi, Ga Re Dumele, 7de Laan, and The Coconuts, has died.
