South African media personalities Jacinta Ngobese-Zuma and Deli Malinga joined hands to raise awareness about the effect of illegal immigrants in South Africa.

According to TshisaLIVE, the former Vuma FM star and Umkhokha: The Curse actress joined hands to lead an anti-illegal immigrant campaign and march in Pietermaritzburg on Tuesday, 12 August 2025.

Ngobese-Zuma and Malinga gathered outside the Pietermaritzburg High Court with other people who joined their march to seek justice for a minor who was allegedly raped by an illegal immigrant.

Speaking to the publication, the radio personality who was dismissed from Vuma FM expressed her concerns about cases being withdrawn by the High Court due to the state's failure to properly investigate and present sufficient evidence for a successful prosecution.

She said:

"We are deeply concerned that in most cases when such charges are withdrawn, it is due to failure by the state to properly investigate and come up with evidence that will result in a successful prosecution. Even now, we don’t know how many more children are at risk with so many illegal immigrants who are roaming our streets. Foreigners take jobs intended for South Africans and often seem to enjoy more rights than citizens."

Jacinta posts about her March and March campaign on social media

The radio personality also posted on her Facebook and Instagram pages about her campaign and videos that were taken during the march outside Pietermaritzburg High Court on Tuesday, 12 August 2025.

She captioned the Facebook post:

"Tomorrow, as March and March we are at PMB Court to ask for Justice for Qhawelesizwe, a 9-year-old who was raped by a Malawian illegal immigrant‼️ If you are in PMB, please please JOIN US 🙏🏻🙏🏻‼️ #NoToIllegalImmigrants #JusticeforQhawelesizwe."

Ngobese-Zuma also posted videos of their march in Pietermaritzburg on her Instagram page and captioned them:

"Thank you, Patriots ✊🏼❤️🇿🇦 South Africa for South Africans."

Jacinta Ngobese-Zuma officially leaves radio

A month before, Briefly News reported about the star's anti-illegal immigrants campaign with Deli Malinga. On 31 July 2025, after years of work as a radio presenter, Jacinta Ngobese-Zuma bowed out.

The award-winning radio personality and entrepreneur shared an emotional announcement on her social media pages, announcing her exit from the airwaves.

She was suddenly fired after receiving a letter from her employer on 15 July 2025, terminating her contract without reason. The radio star hinted that her activism with her March for March movement against illegal immigrants may have cost her the radio gig.

Her last day on 31 July 2025 was met with profound support from her colleagues at Vuma FM, as well as her listeners, whose hearts she touched in her six years at the station.
