SARS Has Allegedly Targeted Businessman Dali Tambo for R1.7 million in Unpaid Tax

Former People of The South TV host Dali Tambo, who is the son of African National Congress (ANC) stalwart Oliver Tambo, reportedly owes the taxman over R1 million.

The popular South African media personality previously made headlines when he delivered an impassioned plea to the ANC party at a wreath-laying ceremony in Ekurhuleni.

The businessman, like Makhadzi in the past, has reportedly been struggling to settle his debt with SARS.

Sunday World reveals that Tambo owes the South African Revenue Service (Sars) more than R1.7-million in unpaid personal income tax.

The publication adds that SARS applied for a judgment against the businessman in the Johannesburg High Court last week after Tambo failed to settle his debt.

Sunday World shared on its X account on Sunday, 17 August 2025, that SARS is pursuing Tambo over his tax bill.
