Sol Phenduka Says Station Managers Are Reaching Out Following Suspension at Kaya 959, SA in Stitches

It seems as though Sol Phenduka is a hot property following his sudden suspension from Kaya 959.

Taking to X (Twitter) on Wednesday, 20 August 2025, Sol Phenduka revealed that certain station managers have been calling him, but the ink is not even dry yet.

"Not the Radio Program managers already calling? The ink isn't even dry, fam," he stated.

Sol Phenduka co-hosts Sizwe Dhlomo's radio segment Siz The World with Mpho. This follows the media statement put out by Kaya 959, stating that they are busy with internal investigations as they have placed Sol on suspension.

"This step has been taken pending the outcome of an internal process currently underway. The station is committed to following due process, and no further details will be shared at this stage. Updates will be provided once the internal process has been concluded and a final decision has been reached."

The station refrained from divulging more information regarding Sol's suspension; however, this opened room for speculations, assumptions and fingers being pointed online.

Sizwe Dhlomo roped into Sol's suspension

In a previous report from Briefly News, after Sol Phenduka was suspended by Kaya FM on Wednesday, 20 August 2025, peeps roped in Sizwe.

An old video suggesting why Sol Phenduka got the job at Kaya FM resurfaced after he was suspended. Peeps shared mixed reactions, with discussions focusing on the alleged owner of the radio station.

“So basically, now we've got two homies. Anele on one side, right. Sizwe Dhlomo and others. I don't know, but I think there's some big media company that Sizwe Dhlomo is a part of that now controls Kaya FM,” Nota Baloyi said.
