Well-known actor Given Stuurman, who previously played the role of Kgosi on Scandal! has reacted to rumours that he's down and out.

Stuurman, who starred alongside Mathews Rantsoma on the e.TV soapie had social media talking recently when he commented on reports that he's broke.

Social media user logdrum_original shared a video on TikTok on Thursday, 28 August 2025, of Stuurman sharing his opinion on media reports that he's unemployed.

The TikToker captioned the video: "Given is okay. You guys don’t respect people.”

In the video, Stuurman appears to be on set and tells the person filming him not to take a video of him.

"They said I am unemployed. You will blow my cover,” says the young actor.

The actor made headlines on 16 August 2025, when Drum Magazine revealed that neighbours of the former child star were concerned about how the actor's life had spiraled downward.

The neighbour also revealed that Stuurman admitted that he misused his money, and that was his downfall.

In more entertainment news, Briefly News previously reported that acclaimed actor Makhaola Ndebele returned to e.TV's popular soapie Scandal! as Dintle Nyathi's father, Reggie.

The fan-favourite actor exited the show in 2023 when his character almost married his long-lost daughter, Dintle Nyathi.
