Bathong, the former Transport MMC Kenny Kunene, has no timing at all, and his latest post proved exactly that, which rubbed many netizens the wrong way.

On Wednesday, 3 September 2025, the controversial politician who resigned from his position regarding his ties with a murder suspect, Katiso Molefe, announced the death of Prince Kaybee's mother on his X (fomerly Twitter) page, which shocked many netizens as to why he would be the one to announce such sad news when the musician hadn't said anything about his mother's passing.

Netizens slam Kenny Kunene for making the announcement

Shortly after Kenny Kunene announced the passing of the star, who previously showed off his DIY skills on social media, many netizens slammed him as others saw it as unnecessary, especially since Prince Kaybee hadn't said anything as yet.

@sile_siba questioned:

"Hello sir, respectfully what was the purpose of this post?"

@Pinkdoll_love said:

"Bathong Sushi King…The post was about his mother, not his stage name. At least say ‘Condolences to Kabelo and family’, not to Prince Kaybee like you’re RSVP’ing to a gig. You didn't even have to post his picture, though."

@Rendzmommy asked:

"Why are you posting yourself?"

@PitsomanSA wrote:

"Condolences to Kabelo…Ignore the unnecessary noise, King Kenny. You did well to post the picture. It shows that you know Prince personally and you are with him in this difficult time, just like you were with him in good times. People are now earning through tweets."

@Molokomme_Qt responded:

"Can’t you send him the condolences private instead of social media."

@Candle_Kerese replied:

"Seeking clout at the expense of another human being who lost his mom is below the belt, even the devil himself won't do this."

@ManGuyana commented:

"We are so sorry for this tragic loss. Condolences to KB and family, but wena bloody criminal, don't use this situation to start seeking relevance. You have KB's number, call and send your condolences."

@pmathatho mentioned:

"You are very old to do such on social media, you must stop behaving in a childish/immature way. Go comfort the guy at home and leave social media. What do you want people to do?"
