South African author and businessman Bongani Luvalo has finally published his new book and said it is one of his proudest moments:
"I have lived up to my own expectations, and with a full heart, I place this body of work in your hands: to hold, to cherish, and to journey with, until the very last word carries you apart."
The reality TV star, who first rose to prominence on Married at First Sight: South Africa, proved that he is more than just a TV star and has now become a household name.

Affectionately known as "The Country’s Husband" through his appearance on the famous TV show alongside castmates, Nkululeko Mahlangu and Makoto Phumodi, Luvalo is using his talent as a storyteller to shift the perceptions of manhood in contemporary South Africa.

His latest book, Ntliziyo Ungumkhohlisi, takes a deep dive into the complex concept of black masculinity through themes of love, heartbreak, and healing.
Luvalo, who joined Married at First Sight as a single father, also shares his own experiences as a South African man and dad, adding a personal and relatable touch to the book.

Launched on 28 August 2025, Luvalo has now embarked on a nationwide tour to promote his book from 5 September to 3 October in Gauteng, Cape Town and Durban.
Taking to his Instagram page, he gives fans and readers an in-depth understanding of the new chapter in his life and offers lessons he hopes will help change the narrative around masculinity:
