Artists like Owami Mafokate and Ciza might be carving their own paths in the competitive industry, but they received proper training from their chart-topping parents.

AJ and Owami Mafokate

The children of musician Arthur Mafokate, AJ and Owami Mafokate, are popular DJs. The duo continues to keep it in the family, as they released their joint EP titled LaFamilia in June 2024.

Nhlanhla Nciza and Ciza

Isaka (6 AM) hitmaker, Ciza, comes from a very strong musical background. His mother, Nhlanhla Nciza, is a member of the Afro-pop music group Mafikizolo. His father, on the other hand, was a music executive before he ventured into politics and business.

After his birthday, Ciza took to Instagram where he shared a video with his parents in the studio. They were dancing to his remix, Isaka (6 am) 2, featuring Tems and Omah Lay.

"ISAKA 6 AM changed my life, and the last slide is going to change the world. ISAKA 2 On the way! I’m so proud of this remix. Tems and Omah Lay took it to the next level. The first thing I wanted to do was share it with both of my parents. Proof that good music brings people together. I can only go back to the days you guys told me I’ll be making the world dance one day. I love you guys!" he exclaimed.Ph

One of SA's most prolific voices, Ringo Madlingozi, is keeping his legacy alive through his son Phila Madlingozi.

However, Phila broadened his horizons by also venturing into acting and reality TV.

Phila recently caused a stir when he slammed Somizi for taking up all the jobs from young people.

Ciza celebrates birthday

In a previous report from Briefly News, music producer Ciza turned 24 years old this week, and he hosted a themed birthday celebration. Some celebrities and influencers like Laduma Ngxokolo were in attendance.
