King Monada Visits DJ Chymamusique in Hospital Following Car Accident

King Monada, along with the chairperson of the Limpopo Artists Movement (LAM), Mpho “Mphoza” Mashabela, reportedly visited critically-wounded DJ Chymamusique in the hospital on 9 September 2025.

The Limpopo-born house DJ was involved in a car crash in the early hours of Saturday, 30 August, along the N1 near the Ysterberg Mountain outside Polokwane.

The head-on collision claimed the life of his music associate, DJ Poizen, who was travelling with him. Four occupants in the other car tragically perished in the fire.

Mashabela said Chyma appeared physically weak but remained in high spirits.

This follows reports from Briefly News that the DJ, real name Collen Mmotla, was removed from the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and was responding well to his treatment.

Chyma and Monada are close friends and have often share playful moments on social media.

While still in the hospital, Chyma continues to receive messages of love and support from fans and peers alike, who look forward to seeing him make a full recovery.
