At the time of the interview with Lasizwe, Ashley Ogle disclosed that they had broken up for just over a month. She claimed that the star, who recorded a song with DJ Zinhle, gave her a vague reason why he was breaking up with her. Looking back, Ashley believes that Akhonamathemba never had long-term intentions with her.

“I don't even recall the reason. I think it was pretty much invalid. He said some like he's working. Basically, to me it seemed as if Akhonamathemba never had plans for Ashley Ogle, it was just Sweet Guluva who had the plans for Ashley Ogle,” she disclosed.
