Friends and family recently gathered to pay their last respects to the late DJ Poizen at his memorial service.

The late house music DJ's life was celebrated through music and heartfelt memories at the famous Centurion Shisanyama on Thursday, 11 September 2025.

Loved ones and industry mates gathered in large numbers to pay their respects to Poizen and reflect on the memories they shared with him.

DailySUN reports that the likes of Mthandazo Gatja, Jacopo and Earful Soul were among the stars who attended the ceremony to bid farewell to their colleague.

His fiancée, Refiloe, shared a special characteristic of Poizen:

Poizen tragically lost his life in a horrific car accident in the early hours of Saturday, 30 August 2025, along the N1 near the Ysterberg Mountain outside Polokwane.

He is one of five casualties, while one victim, DJ Chymamusique, was rushed to the ICU.

Briefly News reports that Chyma was recently removed from intensive care and is responding well to his treatments.
