Mama Joy is living her best life in Cape Town with her French husband, Nicolas Pitaud.

The South African sports superfan recently shared a video on X that shows her flying in a helicopter with Nicolas, who has affectionately become known as Papa Joy.

"Cape Town inside the helicopter. Cape Town is beautiful. These are the benefits from Papa Joy," she captioned the short clip.

The lovebirds have enjoyed a holiday in the Mother City while Papa Joy visits Mzansi. They enjoyed champagne in Sea Point, one of the Cape's affluent suburbs, and indulged in a hearty breakfast.

She later shared that they were heading on the next leg of their romantic getaway: Durban.

Mama Joy brags about her private mattersBheki Simelane, the former club owner, questioned the legitimacy of Mkhize's ownership and took the matter to the High Court of eSwatini, claiming he was unlawfully removed and is the rightful owner.

Mama Joy is known for regularly sharing loved-up posts with her man, but sometimes it doesn't land well with netizens.

In January 2025, she set tongues wagging when she tweeted about her lady parts.

Mama Joy responded to an X post that spoke poorly of the female anatomy, saying hers is the opposite and that Papa Joy can attest to that.

Online users were not impressed and suggested she hire a social media manager.

Despite their affection online, Mama Joy shared in an interview with Briefly TV Life that it's difficult to meet halfway on their vastly different cultures.

She says understanding how to deal with a French man has been the most challenging.

"With the French, I'm just trying to find my way, and to make a way that the relationship doesn't collapse."

Mama Joy recently came under fire for supporting Shawn "MaMkhize" Mkhize's new eSwatini football team, Mbabane Highlanders AM.

Fans had a field day criticising Mama Joy for her sudden departure from South African football, after being a staunch Orlando Pirates supporter for years.

She was criticised for her disloyalty and accused of trying to curry favour with MaMkhize. This is because Mama Joy enjoyed a brief stint with Royal AM after her Orlando Pirates exit.

Mkhize was announced as the President of the football club after the fall of her local football club, Royal AM, due to her R40 million debt with the South African Revenue Services.

Shawn Mkhize in hot water again

In previous entertainment news, Briefly News reported on Shawn Mkhize's legal troubles with the Mbabane Highlanders AM.

Bheki Simelane, the former club owner, questioned the legitimacy of Mkhize's ownership and took the matter to the High Court of eSwatini, claiming he was unlawfully removed and is the rightful owner.

However, Mkhize's legal representatives maintain that due processes were followed in obtaining ownership.
