Grammy-award-winning music producer Lebo Morake, known as Lebo M, topped social media trends on Tuesday, 16 September 2025, when it was reported that his R10 million had gone missing.

Morake recently made headlines when he separated from his fiancée, Mel Ntsala, after being engaged for 3 months.

The Lion King music composer and Ntsala had social media talking when they were spotted at a yacht in Dubai after their engagement announcement.

Celebrity blog Maphepha Ndaba reported on its Instagram account, on Tuesday, 16 September 2025, that the award-winning composer and producer Lebo M has cut ties with his long-time associate, Sibu Mhlungu, following allegations of unaccounted funds estimated at R10 million.

Sources close to Mr Morake shared with the blog that the music producer's top lawyers were instructed to get all his money back.

Briefly News contacted Mr Morake on Tuesday, 16 September 2025, regarding the allegations. When approached for a comment, Lebo M referred the media to his publicist, Simphiwe Majola, who stated:

"Mr M's lawyers and accountants are reviewing the matter thoroughly. At this stage, he is focused on his upcoming Durban show and continuing to deliver world-class productions to his audiences. We will share further updates once all facts are established."

Lebo M to pay over R500k to Pretty Samuels

In more entertainment news, Briefly News, South African producer, Lebo M, will allegedly pay his ex-wife, Pretty Samuels, over half a million rand in spousal support.

This comes after the musician claimed that Samuels had no right to take his Blüthner grand piano in the divorce settlement.
