TV-presenter Siphelo Bayana is engaged!
The former Hectic on 3 presenter shared the exciting news with his Instagram followers that he is set to wed his partner, Larry Nel.
Siphelo posted a video of the engagement celebrations, which showed Larry dressed in traditional Xhosa attire.
He wrote in the caption:

Siphelo Banyana: "It was love at first sight"
Siphelo Banyana, affectionately known by fans as Speech, was introduced to Larry by a mutual friend, and says it was love at first glance.
The couple didn't date for many years before Larry got down on bended knee, something which surprised Siphelo.
Siphelo told The South African that he used to think he would have to know someone for several years before popping the question, but he has learned it's not always the case.

There was no way he could say no — not only because he loves Larry, but also because Larry proposed with quite the knocker.
Siphelo reveals he popped the question with a ring set that featured a whopping 17 diamonds.
Larry continues to steal Siphelo's heart.
For their engagement party, he asked to wear traditional Xhosa attire, which Siphelo says meant the world to him.
It showed that Larry was open to learning about his culture.
Siphelo says they don't shy away from celebrating their unique identities as part of the country's rainbow nation.
Siphelo Banyana on coming out
Siphelo Banyana says that some of the many things he loves about Larry Nel are his authenticity, honesty and loyalty.
For Siphelo, these characteristics were fundamental when he decided to be open about his sexuality to his family.
The presenter, who is known for his vibrant personality, says coming out to his parents and sisters was easy.
He describes his parents as being "calm" when they heard the news, while his sisters were excited.
2025 — The year of weddings
This year saw several celebrity couples tie the knot.
TV host and actress Candice Modiselle married Sechaba Sello in a traditional ceremony in April.
Candice stunned in a traditional blue Tswana dress and headpiece.
Miss SA 2023 Natasha Joubert also wed her longtime love, Enrico Vermaak, in an exquisite wedding at Cape Town's picturesque Cavalli Estate.
A couple who are set to walk down the aisle is Anele Mdoda and Bonelela ‘Buzza’ James. The pair got engaged earlier this year and had their lobola ceremony in the Eastern Cape.
