Beauty queen Qhawekazi Mazaleni has been trending on social media from the moment Miss SA announced her as a Top 10 finalist on Tuesday, 16 September 2025.
Mazaleni, who's been announced as a finalist alongside Shaka ILembe star Luyanda Zuma, is following in her sister Homba Mazaleni's footsteps, who entered the Miss SA pageant in 2023.
The organisation, which rubbished rumours that it has cancelled its 2025 competition, also announced the judging panel this week.
Social media user @HighlyFlavourd took to her X account on Tuesday, 16 September 2025, to compliment Miss SA finalist Qhawekazi Mazaleni.
He wrote: "I don’t know what other girlies are doing, but this girl is what a Miss SA should be."
The 24-year-old is a qualified speech therapist and an author who's pursuing her master's degree.
Qhawekazi's TikTok account shows that she wrote a book for her nine-year-old patient with cerebral palsy and that she's learning new languages to connect with her patients.
