MacG is not letting Julius Malema's dig slide quietly. A teaser clip for an upcoming episode of Podcast and Chill, set to air on Thursday, 6 August 2026 at 3 PM, shows the host pushing back hard at the EFF leader while also teasing an emotional sit-down with musician L'vovo about his stroke.
The drama traces back to an EFF press briefing held at the Radisson Blu Gautrain Hotel in Sandton on 30 July 2026, where Malema took direct aim at the podcast.
"It's called MacG Podcast. It's a political party, that thing. Its role is to depoliticise the youth," the EFF leader said, suggesting the show is a deliberate tool to keep young South Africans disengaged from politics.
Malema also said the platform promotes a culture of alcohol consumption.

MacG hits back at Julius Malema
Despite Podcast and Chill Network trolling Malema barely a day after he criticised the podcast, MacG did not hold back in the teaser. Referring to Malema as "flip-flop Juju", he told his audience:
"It's bigger than flip-flop Juju, guys. This thing, we are fighting against the system, and what we have to make peace with is we will always get attacked because we are number one."
On Malema's claim that the show functions as a political party, MacG reframed the entire criticism.
"What they don't realise is that we are not a threat. We are a production of what they cause, bro. And as young people who are rebellious, bro. We ask, 'Why is this happening?' Why is this whatever-whatever?' But they don't want that because how are they going to eat if we have all the solutions?" he asked.
He also took a pointed swing at the alcohol accusation, referencing Malema's alleged ownership of a Polokwane venue.
"There's a tavern in Polokwane, and apparently they don't sell alcohol there because he's anti-alcohol. They just drink water," MacG said, drawing laughter.
L'vovo opens up about his stroke
Beyond the political sparring, the teaser previews a deeply personal conversation with kwaito artist L'vovo, who reveals he suffered a stroke caused by high blood pressure and a blood clot. When asked how close he came to death, L'vovo's response was blunt: "I was dead."
