Veteran broadcaster Sizwe Dhlomo has sent social media into a spin after dropping a hint that ActionSA leader Herman Mashaba could be getting his vote ahead of the November 2026 local government elections. What made it even more hilarious was EFF president Julius Malema's stunned response.
On 7 August 2026, X user @matwas15 asked Sizwe a simple question: "Who are you giving your vote to?" The radio and media personality kept his answer short but loaded, replying, "Maybe Uncle Herm?" The post racked up hundreds of thousands of views almost immediately.

Julius Malema, who goes by @Julius_S_Malema on X, stumbled upon the reply and could not hide his reaction. The EFF leader, who has been contesting for the EFF ahead of the November elections, responded with a wide-eyed "He banna👀", a Setswana expression of disbelief that said everything without needing to say much at all.

What added fuel to the fire is the history between the two men. Back in 2021, Sizwe had publicly spoken glowingly of Malema, making his apparent lean towards Mashaba all the more startling for Red Beret supporters.
After his new response, Sizwe, unfazed by the drama, hit back at Malema with warmth rather than shade, writing: "lol! You know you're my brother, though. 😄🤣😄"
