Sipho Ndlovu has left Mzansi with a lot to talk about after sitting down for a deeply personal conversation on the Engineer Your Life With Lungelo KM podcast. In a moment that caught many viewers off guard, he confessed to starting an affair while the mother of his child was expecting.
The interview, which premiered on 4 August 2026, quickly gained traction after a clip was reshared on X by @Melo_Malebo. Filmed in a warmly lit, stylishly decorated indoor setting with wicker lighting, framed artwork, and a bookshelf in the background, the podcast carried a sombre and introspective tone throughout, with the former The Wife star opening up.
Ndlovu opens up about the affair
When asked what went wrong in his romantic relationship, Ndlovu paused and wrestled visibly with how to respond. He ultimately admitted that he became involved with another woman at a time when the mother of his child was pregnant. The relationship lasted only two months before he ended it.

"At that time, the mother of my child was pregnant, and then I found somebody else," he said. "I flopped. I really flopped, and I really flopped. I cannot protect myself there."
Ndlovu also connected his confession to a legal matter, referencing a recent case that had been dropped. The woman he was involved with during those two months was later at the centre of physical assault accusations against him. He said the experience took a heavy toll. "I met someone, and I realised we had only two months," he added. "I decided that no, no, no, this one, it should end. And then on that second month, I ended things."
