A video of Sfiso Ndlovu going on what appears to be a drunken rant about South African artists celebrating with Tyla at the South African Music Awards has set social media alight, drawing a sharp response from DJ and producer Prince Kaybee.
In the clip, filmed inside what looks like a podcast or content creation studio complete with a DJ mixing controller, Godox studio lighting, and gaming chairs, Sfiso speaks animatedly to someone off-camera. He takes aim at the artists who joined Tyla on stage after she received the prestigious International Achievement Award, saying,
"The coloured lady made all the black people excited for a stupid award."
He went on to question why established names would allow themselves to be summoned by someone so much younger, seemingly irritated by what he viewed as a loss of dignity on their part.

Among those who stepped onto the stage with Tyla were Cassper Nyovest, Limpopo star Makhadzi, and DJ Tira, all of whom joined the Water hitmaker in what many saw as a gesture of solidarity and collective pride.

Mzansi responds to Prince Kaybee's sharp response
It did not take long for Prince Kaybee to weigh in. The musician whose real name is Kabelo Motsamai posted on X:
"Non-professionals telling professionals how to act is the biggest scam in modern entertainment. It's like fitness trainers that are overweight."
See the post below:
The post quickly drew its own wave of debate, with some fans agreeing and others pushing back on the idea of who qualifies as a professional in the local industry.
Mzansi had a lot to say about both Sfiso's video and Kaybee's reaction. Here is what some X users shared:
@Julius_S_Malebe wrote:
"Without addressing the contents of the vid, but Prince Kaybee views himself (Artists) as the only professionals in the arts industry. Writers/Producers & others are never given that acknowledgement. This post exposes wider problems with the industry, total disconnection... Chaos."
@Njabulo140 said:
"I blame these podcasts because now even fools that got lucky are starting to think they have a voice."
@ThembaSizani added:
"True 😩👌🏾 sise kakeni 😔imagine failing to become a musician and telling professionals about what they're doing wrong or right 🤣🤣🤣 I can never understand these guys🚮"
@tnomayela pushed back at Kaybee's analogy:
"Fitness trainer can be overweight as long as he knows the job at hand."
@LyfeUrbanzulu offered a broader view:
"There are no professionals in this SA entertainment industry; it's only a handful and unfortunately not given airtime. We are just stuck with a majority of chancers."
@ItsKarab0 questioned the double standard:
"I bet y'all laughed at Speedy when he called on a hip hop artist on stage; now you're here praising Tyler, where's the backbone guys"
@malekek50 posed the central question many were asking:
"What qualifies one to be a professional and non-professional?"
