South African singer Tyla is heading home — and she's doing it in style. The Recording Industry of South Africa (RiSA) has confirmed that the two-time GRAMMY Award-winning singer will receive one of the South African Music Awards' highest honours at the 32nd South African Music Awards (SAMA32), scheduled for 15 August 2026 at the Sun City Superbowl.
2nd SAMAs win for Tyla
The Water hitmaker first took home the International Achievement Award at SAMA30. Now, she returns to the SAMA stage to be recognised again for the extraordinary mark she continues to leave on the global music landscape. In doing so, Tyla joins DJ and producer Black Coffee as the only artists to have received this prestigious distinction twice.
Beauty brand AfriPure is the sponsor behind the International Achievement Award at SAMA32, and the brand's co-founder, Grant Heynes, made clear why the partnership felt right.

Tyla hosts fan appreciation day

The A-Pop star announced a special Fan Appreciation Day for Joburg Tygers at Gold Reef City on 16 August.
