Mayonie Open Air has confirmed kwaito and gqom veteran L'vovo Derrango as the newest addition to the bill for its highly anticipated KwaZulu-Natal debut, cranking up excitement ahead of what is shaping up to be one of the city's standout dance music events this year.
The festival is set to take over Chris Saunders Park in Umhlanga on 29 August 2026, running from midday until 10:00 PM. L'vovo Derrango joins a lineup that already includes DJ Kent, Bucie and NaakMusiQ, alongside a host of other established acts. The event celebrates Afrohouse and Afrotech, two genres that have become central to South Africa's dance music movement.
