Controversial blogger Musa Khawula has come under fire after sharing an old photo of British rapper Stefflon Don alongside the late Zimbabwean millionaire Sir Wicknell Chivayo. The post landed almost immediately after news broke that Chivayo had died in a helicopter crash, drawing widespread condemnation for its tone and timing.
Chivayo, along with his wife Lucy "Lulu" Muteke, was among six people killed when a helicopter went down in rural Marondera, Zimbabwe. Before the news had even fully settled, Khawula had already posted the resurfaced image on X, captioning it:
"A look at Steff London with her now-dead, highly married boyfriend, Sir Wicknell Chivayo. Sir Wicknell Chivayo previously dated Mihlali Ndamase and Lee Khuzwayo."
Chivayo's past denials
The dating claims are not new. Back in March 2024, Chivayo publicly denied ever being in a relationship with beauty influencer Mihlali Ndamase or socialite Lee Khuzwayo, dismissing the rumours as online fabrication. Mihlali supported his position at the time, publicly backing his denial. Khawula's decision to revive those allegations in the immediate aftermath of a fatal tragedy struck many as deeply inappropriate.

Musa Khawula's post reignited debate not only about Chivayo's personal life but also about the ethics of sharing unverified claims about the deceased while loved ones are still in shock. Critics pointed out that recycling old, disputed rumours while referencing someone as "now dead" crossed a clear line, particularly given that Chivayo's family was still processing a sudden and devastating loss.
Mzansi reacts to the post
The reactions were swift, though not all of them were sympathetic to the targets of the post. Many users directed their frustration at Khawula's timing, while others weighed in on the nature of the relationships being discussed.

Chivayo had reportedly referred to himself using a divine title, which many believe contributed to public reaction to his passing.
