Former trans personality Inno Matijane has reignited a fiery debate online after posting his views on gender and sexuality. His comments drew both support and sharp criticism from users on X, with some questioning his right to weigh in on LGBTQI+ matters at all.
Inno, who previously identified as transgender before transitioning back to living as a man, did not hold back when he shared his perspective during an episode discussion linked to the Podcast and Chill Network on 30 September 2026.
What did Inno say about gender?
Writing on X under the handle @innomatijane, Inno stated plainly:

"A man dating a biological man is neither heterosexual nor bisexual. I'll never back down on this. There are only 2 genders (Male & Female). I'll continue speaking on the truth even if I'm the only person defending the truth; I don't care!"
When a user named @mawezita urged him to learn the distinction between biological sex and gender, Inno stood firm:
"I'm standing on what I said; you need to do some learning since you believe men are women."
He also addressed criticism about why he continues engaging with LGBTQI+ conversations despite no longer being part of the community.
"I'm the perfect person to talk about this. I'm just protecting children and women. Get over it; I won't stop talking. A man can never be a woman!"
Mzansi reacts to Inno's posts
The reactions were a mixed bag. Some users challenged his past directly, while others questioned his motivations.
@KweenBarbie_SA said:
"Khawthule Inno! For someone who has 'left' the LGBTQI, you are always engaging in posts about it. Let the community be and go focus on being 'straight', my brother."
@Zamani_Ntshele wrote:
"You didn't leave the community. You just switched sides and kept the same desperate need to be seen. Every post is you trying to convince yourself the past never happened, that the body that once folded for men is now the purest defender of 'truth.'"
Inno's response to that was brief:
"😭😭😭 A whole lot of nothing."
@LungileMaps added:
"Since you failed at it, you are so pressed by people that are doing it so effortlessly. Absolutely no one thinks of you this deep!"
To which Inno replied with a dose of humour:
"No one can do women more effortlessly than actual women. I hope this helps. 😂🙌🏾"
Inno reacted to his old pic wearing a mini-skirt
Inno Matijane responded after an old photo of him in high-fashion boots, shorts, and a fur accent resurfaced on X.
The reality TV star, who recently became a born-again Christian and detransitioned, clapped back with a lighthearted caption.
