Here is what fans had to say:

@dfwshay wrote:

"Never thought of the day I'd see someone use a mop as a skirt lol"

@Streamhotbody was not impressed:

"Now, girl, what's this mess of an outfit? We Tygers were patiently waiting for you to serve, but you stay playing in our face. A MESS."

@Vp2fx compared the venue atmosphere to something far more modest:

"Why does this look like it was at my local gay bar on open mic night?? 😭 Like can we give her some budget?!"

Not everyone was complaining, though. @muhiwah kept it simple and celebratory:

"Tyla delivered. The tour is off to a strong start 'PUSH 2 START'"

@MasculineC20812 agreed:

"Tyla knows how to put on a show! 'PUSH 2 START' live on opening night in Paris is such a vibe. A*POP World Tour is off to an amazing start!"

Perhaps the most memorable reaction came from @HrhMaNtshingila, who spotted a cultural connection in Tyla's stage look:

"She's literally rocking a mini xibhelana. Oh Tyla, the A*POPSTAR that you are 🌟 Sho Madjozi would be so proud 💃🏾"

The xibhelana is a traditional Tsonga skirt, famously associated with South African rapper and singer Sho Madjozi, making the comparison a nod to African pride on a global stage.

Tyla adds second Gauteng date

Meanwhile, Briefly News reported that Tyla announced a second Gauteng concert date after popular demand from South African fans.

The original January 9 Johannesburg show was relocated from Nasrec to Pretoria's SunBet Arena over weather and comfort concerns.
