Naledi Aphiwe did not hold back when she sat down with the Not Sorry Podcast on 18 October 2026. Midway through the interview, co-host Seemah brought up the viral clash between her and MaWhoo, and Naledi did not mince her words.
"I don't consider MaWhoo as someone who is okay in the head," she told the hosts, insisting that the singer stuck her nose into a situation that had nothing to do with her.
What started the Naledi and MaWhoo drama?
Naledi clarified that the actual falling-out was with Amahle, MaWhoo's sister and former manager. The trouble began when Amahle booked her for an event. When Naledi arrived with her entourage, Amahle refused to let the group in without paying for entry. Naledi maintained that the people with her were part of her team, but Amahle would not budge, and they ultimately left.

What made the situation sting further was that Naledi was not even receiving payment for the performance. She explained that she only agreed to perform as a favour, given that she and Amahle had previously been close friends.
The following morning, Naledi woke up to a flood of messages that changed everything.
"I woke up to voice notes of her swearing at me, and then I responded; that's how it started," she said.
The back-and-forth eventually went public when Naledi shared screen recordings and voice notes from Amahle online. Things escalated further when MaWhoo and her camp entered the fray, with allegations of substance use being thrown at Naledi and a shocking claim from Amahle that Naledi had sacrificed her own mother for fame. Naledi denied these claims firmly.

Naledi refuses to squash the beef
On MaWhoo's role in all of this, Naledi was blunt: "She stuck her nose where it did not belong. She needs to calm down; it's fine now."
The podcast hosts encouraged the parties to reconcile and even floated the idea of a collaboration, but Naledi shut it down immediately. She made it clear that she is not holding out for an apology from either MaWhoo or Amahle, and has no interest in burying the hatchet any time soon.
