Katlego Bereng's mother, Monica Matsie, recently opened up about her grief and trauma following the airing of Beauty and the Bester on Netflix.
Nandipha Magudumana and Thabo Bester recently made headlines when the court dismissed their bid to block the docuseries.
Netflix recently shared the trailer of the popular documentary series of the famous couple, who are currently behind bars.
The South African reports that Bereng's mother recently revealed in an interview with the SABC that the family is struggling to cope with her son's tragic death, as they still have unanswered questions.

“It’s an unbearable pain that will never go away. His children are also grown, and they even know their father was killed. The one who is six years old also attends counselling with a psychologist at her tender age,” she said.
Matsie adds that her Bereng's children are being teased at school and being called "Bester" by other kids.
"Is that fair? My child is now being called Bester,” she asked.
The grandmother of Bereng's children also shares that his children are aware of how their father was killed because they see it on television.
The SABC shared a snippet of Matsie's video interview on its X account on Sunday, 14 September 2025, two days after Netflix aired Beauty and the Bester docuseries.
