After a day of searching, residents of Kalempang village in South Sulawesi province found her inside the 16-foot reticulated reptile.
Details indicate that Farida's husband, Noni, became suspicious when he found her belongings.
The discovery led the villagers to search the area, after which they spotted a python with a large belly.
"They agreed to cut open the python's stomach. As soon as they did, Farida's head was immediately visible," village head Suardi Rosi told the media.
What was Farida's husband's reaction?
Graphic videos captured the snake being cut open in a wooded area as Farida was found fully clothed inside.
Upon retrieval, the woman's body was removed and taken away for burial in the Pitu Riawa district of Sidrap Regency, South Sulawesi province.
"I am forever sorry that I let my wife go out alone. If I had been with her that day, the snake would not have dared to touch her," the grieving husband said, as reported by Daily Mail.
Reports of humans being killed by pythons are uncommon in Indonesia, but several people have died in recent years after being swallowed whole.
Statistics indicate that Farida's death marks the fifth person to be devoured by a python in the country since 2017.
