The young educator revealed how she moved to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and is enjoying many benefits that one could not have in South Africa, as she showcased her house and various other things. Taking to her social media handle @akazania_m, expressed how she is earning five times more than a teacher in South Africa could earn in the UAE.
According to Gooverseas, the UAE teachers earn between $2,500-$5,500 USD (R46,250 - R101,750) per month, with higher salaries in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Opportunities vary based on position, experience, credentials, and location. ESL, private, international, and public schools offer opportunities. Experienced teachers may find employment in business, aviation, or technical drawing courses.

SA teacher flexes gorgeous apartment in the UAE
In the TikTok video posted by the South African teacher herself, she showcased her spacious, elegantly appointed two-bedroom apartment, part of a lavish benefits package she says is “tax-free.”
As she tidied up the empty, sunlit space, she revealed that her contract includes not one, but two two-bedroom apartments, free medical aid, free transport to work, and a salary she estimates at five times what teachers earn back home in South Africa.
While taking to her TikTok caption, @akazania_m simply said:
"Living in answered prayers."
The footage went viral since it was shared on 21 August 2025 on social media, leaving many South Africans impressed by the enhanced financial and lifestyle appeal.
