A TikTok video by a Johannesburg resident went viral as he showed how much he pays in rent. The man was candid about his living situation as he gave people a tour of his apartment.

The main shared the details that left online users floored by how much he tolerates despite his pricey rent. People commented on the man's videos as he explained the disadvantages of living in an estate.
In a TikTok video, @shuaib_eb told people that he pays R20,000 in rent. He sarcastically said he was going to show people all the benefits he gets for his apartment. First, he showed that his BMW was damaged overnight in his carport. He said:
"You get to wake up to half your car missing, it's like one of the best feelings ever, 10 out of 10."

The TikTokker said he found the person who damaged his BMW, and they were handling it privately. Unfortunately, he reported that the estate ghosted him and would not give him access to footage of what happened to his car. The man said that besides the money, the estate managers showed no ethics or morals and disrespected him. He added that he had many issues living in an estate for the last two years.
In another video, the man disclosed that he was fined R6000 for hanging his clothes to dry. Whenever he puts a clothes drying rack on his balcony, he gets fined R1000.
