After meeting the well-known thespian Fiona Ramsay, voice artist Sinemivuyo Mpulu asked her to imitate five accents, local and international, which she aced with ease. Her take on the accents mesmerised people online, who were also in awe of her beauty.

Sinemivuyo uploaded the TikTok clip to his account on 9 September, 2025. In the video, he asked Fiona to perform five different accents: American, British, Cape Coloured, Afrikaner, and African.

For each accent, Fiona made an utterance that somehow related to the accent. However, when asked to do the unspecified African accent, both Fiona and Sinemivuyo laughed when she said:

Who is Fiona Ramsay?

Fiona, a voice-over artist, MC, speaker, and vocal and dialect coach, is well-respected in the South African performing arts industry, with her career spanning over 40 years.

The award-winning artist has provided her skills to film, television, and theatre and is notable for her contributions to SABC 3's Hard Copy as Dorothy Wilcox and playing Kate Hansen in Justice For All.

Not only is Fiona an actress, but she is also a lecturer at Wits University and the founder of Speakeasy Vocal Academy, where she specialises as a dialogue and dialect coach and runs vocal empowerment workshops.

South Africans love the accents

Several local members of the online community shared how much they enjoyed Fiona's take on the five accents, especially the one Sinemivuyo dubbed African. However, a few internet users thought that some of the accents weren't accurate.
