A young TikTok user shared a mind-boggling video on 14 September 2025 that had South Africans scratching their heads in disbelief. The clip shows a Toyota Quantum taxi in the most impossible position: with its front end resting on someone's house roof and its back end still touching the ground, creating a slanted angle that defied all logic.

The video shared on the TikTok page @mr_nice_ff.store captured crowds of people gathered around the scene, all trying to figure out how on earth the taxi managed to get into such a bizarre position. With no clear explanation for how the vehicle ended up balancing on the homeowner's roof, the clip quickly went viral across social media platforms.

Mzansi reacts with quantum jokes

The footage racked up an impressive 43,000 reactions, over 400,000 views, and thousands of comments from South Africans who were equally puzzled by what they were seeing. Many viewers were left wondering if they were looking at some sort of magic trick or if physics had somehow stopped working.

"Quantum physics 🧍🏽‍♂️?"

@_Syf3n commented:

"And then someone said quantum physics..."

@onazie1 expressed their confusion:

"I have so many questions 😳 What the helly 😳"

@tkodahhustler012 joked:

"Toyota Airways🛫"

@Peace_Kgotso laughed:

"You can't park the car there 😭😭"

@Lihle added:

"Quantum physics turned into aerodynamics for a bit there. I hope that answered most of the questions."

@khutamo_Seatile asked:

"I have so many questions 😂 But the first one is how did the driver get off 🤣🤣🤣"

What causes drivers to lose control

According to experts at Steven G. Lawley, several factors can cause drivers to lose control of their vehicles on South African roads. Rainy weather makes roads slick and dangerous, particularly during our heavy summer downpours. Poor road conditions like potholes, which are common across Mzansi, can easily cause vehicles to skid or lose grip.

Speeding remains a major problem, especially around curves and corners where drivers struggle to maintain control. Mechanical failures such as brake problems or tyre blowouts can instantly put drivers in dangerous situations. Driving under the influence also significantly increases the risk of losing control, as impaired drivers cannot respond properly to unexpected situations on the road.
